A Word from the Owner of Java Athletics

Hello friends,

My name is Sharon and I am so happy to be able to bring Java Athletics to life. My goal in life is to help everyone and anyone who needs and wants it when it comes to your overall health. I have been a certified trainer since 2020 and continue to educate myself so I can give clients the most up to date version of ways to help your physical health.

I have many different certifications but that does not mean I know everything, I am always happy to refer my clients to trusted outside sources if it is out of my scope of practice. I created Java Athletics because I hold certain values that I no longer compromise on when it comes to training clients or building my business.

CSEP-CPT

Completed the CSEP - Certified Personal Trainer tests.

Pre-Script L1

Completed Level 1 certification through Pre-Script. Learned about the anatomy and the mechanics of the body.

DTS - Kettlebells

Completed the Kettlebells coach certification through DTS. Learned how to use a kettlebell in exercises.

DTS - Mini Core

Completed the Mini Core certification through DTS. Learned how to teach clients to engage their core in different methods and learned how to keep core engaged in certain exercises.

ETA - L1

Completed the Level 1 certification through ETA. Learned different assessments, and protoals to help clientele.

Algonquin College - FHP

Completed the 2 year program, Fitness and Health Promotion to gain the base knowledge of how to assess, program and train clients.

GGS - Pre & Post Natal

Completed the Pre & Post Natal certification through the GGS. Learn about the nutrition, adaptation and exercises that women can/cannot do during both pre and post natal.

Niagara College - NSP

Completed the 1 year program, Nutrition for Sport and Performance, to gain the knowledge on how to assess, research and plan a nutrition program for athletes.
